Hey
Hey you. Yes, you.
The girl that is happy fading into slumber by herself, under her red-flowered bedspread.
The girl that takes photos of the yellow lampshade illumanating the frosted rain-speckled window just because she notices.
The girl that sleeps on a hill, chewing cookies on a red tartan blanket, listening to French girls singing something beautiful she doesn't understand. Listening to someone singing that everyone you know someday, will die.
The girl that doesn't let a little rain ruin her day of sunshine but instead smiles through shivers at the cold droplets on her skin as she rushes back indoors.
That knows it should end and is ending soon but shrugs. It's alright. She knows he'll leave one day but she'll be fine because she has all this.
It's so,so good to see you again. Stay for awhile, don't leave.
---------
You know this is the same girl as the one that cried herself to sleep because no one was there for her especially when there was too many people there. The one that hurt because the other person told her he didn't love her deep enough because he still feels like he was meant for something better, something that fit him more than she did. Eventhough she was cradled in his arms, neck tucked into the nook of his shoulder, fitting perfectly.
I don't understand. I thought this was what you wanted too. Tell me to stay, tell me not to leave you if that's what you want, he clutches her tight. He didn't understand she couldn't say it?
But that's okay now. She has steadied herself, no longer leaning towards him when they walk.
