She is only an illusion

She stares at them, they stare right back. But they don't see her, they only see flashbacks of the past.. echoes bouncing back on walls in a vast empty space. They ask her a question, they hear what they want to hear. For a moment, she considers... answering differently. She tries it. They look shocked, confused even. They laugh it off, and she laughs it off and that pulls back the illusion on her.


She barely glances at them. They are dead to her now.
